Tucked away in a secluded courtyard, Pottery Cottage is a perfect luxury retreat for any holiday. Set in the beautiful and tranquil Northumberland National Park, Pottery Cottage is ideal for relaxing and romantic getaways for couples. With the amazing leisure facilities on site, it is also a great choice for families or groups of friends who like to be active and have fun together.
This luxurious, bijou cottage is set out in an upside down fashion. The front door leads into a spacious hallway from which the bathroom and two bedrooms, a double and a twin, are accessed. Having been recently and thoughtfully refurbished, the whole cottage has a smart, contemporary style, whilst retaining the country cottage feel.
From the hallway, the stairs lead up to a light, airy open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The exposed beams and stylish new log burner create the perfect setting for cosy evenings in reading, watching a movie on the Smart TV, playing board games or simply unwinding together. Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property. The galley kitchen is very well equipped with oven, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer, kettle, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. The dining area provides plenty of space to seat four, for those special celebratory meals or simply long lunches with friends.
Guests will be greeted with a complimentary hamper of tasty food – a perfect welcome at your journey’s end.
A highlight for all visitors, will be making good use of the on-site leisure facilities provided by Breamish Valley Cottages and fully available to all Pottery Cottage guests. There is something to pamper everyone – a good sized swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room and state of the art gym. Not to mention, an all-weather tennis court, mini golf, a croquet lawn and two stunning lakes to stroll around. Guests can even drop in on the hide for a spot of bird watching.
Children will love the games room where everyone can enjoy a game of pool, table tennis, air hockey, table football or just hang out and watch the TV. Outside, your little ones can let off steam on the wooden adventure playground, trampoline, small football pitch, playhouse and a selection of ride on toys.
We are delighted to be able welcome your well-bahaved dog at Pottery Cottage. We love dogs and are delighted to provide a thoughtful selection of equipment, including a bed to help them have a happy stay too. We'd ask that you bring your own throws/blankets if you would like to have your four-legged friend on the sofa for cuddles! Please note that dogs must be taken out of the courtyard and exercised off the Breamish Valley Cottages site, this is at the request of the site owners.
Pottery Cottage can be booked alongside its sister cottage, Honeymug (sleeps 6), which is located in the same courtyard - perfect for larger family groups (up to 10 people) to be able to holiday together.
**PLEASE NOTE - that due to planned maintenance in the pool/spa/sauna/gym area – the site owners have decided to make these facilities unavailable for the period of 9-27 January 2023. Pottery Cottage is still available to book during this period and we would be delighted to offer a 25% discount on the rental cost for any nights booked in that period. Please submit an enquiry if you wish to take advantage of this offer.
Set in the peaceful hamlet of Branton, within the Breamish Valley, Pottery Cottage is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Northumberland National Park. There are many opportunities for walking, cycling and horse riding as the areas is covered by 700 miles of footpaths and rights of way. The magnificent Cheviot Hills, with their abundance of fascinating flora and fauna, are only a short drive away.
Also less than 30 minutes away is the glorious Northumberland coast, providing miles of dog friendly sandy beaches and an absolute paradise for children to play on. Nearby Alnwick with all its tourist attractions, notably the castle and gardens, provides many lovely opportunities for shopping, dining and soaking up the historic atmosphere.

All bookings made more than six weeks in advance of your stay will require a deposit payment of 25% of the rental cost, plus a small 5% booking fee, with balance being due six weeks prior to your stay. All bookings made within six weeks of your stay will require payment to be made in full at the time of booking.
