Whether you're looking for total relaxation or a taste of the adventures that a stay in Northumberland can offer, Bamburgh Lodge provides the perfect location for your Northumberland retreat.
The lodge provides accommodation for up to four people and is perfect for couples and families alike. For larger groups, Bamburgh Lodge can be booked along with its sister lodge next door, Coquet, which also sleeps four and can, therefore, provide accommodation for up to eight people.
Bamburgh comprises of a comfortable seating area for four with flat screen TV/DVD and a selection of books and DVDs for those cosy evenings in. There is a modern fitted kitchen which contains a hob, grill and oven, a fridge with freezing compartment, a kettle, toaster and microwave and a generous selection of kitchen equipment and utensils. The dining area comfortably seats four at a modern dining table.
The lodge has a double bedroom and further sleeping accommodation is via the generously sized fold-down sofa-bed in the living area. There is a storage area outside the bedroom and the recently refurbished bathroom consists of a shower cubicle, WC and washbasin.
Externally there is a private terrace with furniture and a grassy area with a family picnic table. Perhaps more importantly, you will also find truly stunning views of the Northumberland countryside as you step out of the lodge.
The heating in the lodge is by electric heaters in each room, the cost of which, along with the provision of bed linen and towels, is included in the price.
Pets - The owners of Bamburgh Lodge are always happy to welcome up to two well behaved dogs with responsible owners. We'd ask that you bring your own throws/blankets if you would like to have your four-legged friends on the sofa for cuddles!
Please note that Bamburgh Lodge is available for short breaks all year round EXCEPT the May half term and summer school holidays.
Bamburgh Lodge is set in a park area with a small number of nicely spaced other lodges - as such, there is a lovely children's play area, covered barbeque and coin-operated laundrette with ironing facilities.
A fifteen-minute stroll or a three-minute drive from the lodge, Longframlington is a fabulous little village, crammed full of everything you would expect from a traditional, bustling, Northumbrian village. Excellent bar meals and a great range of beers can be found in The Village Inn and The Grandby Inn.
The village has a great array of local shops such as the butchers, the newsagent and the general store which sells just about everything! There is also a large village green with play area, tennis court and football goals for youngsters and a large enclosed dog walking area.
Such is the brilliant location of Bamburgh Lodge, with the Northumberland National Park, encompassing the Cheviot Hills, on your doorstep, you will never be far from some of the most beautiful walking and cycling trails this country has to offer.
You are also less than a 30-minute drive from Northumberland's Heritage Coast and its designated area of outstanding natural beauty. It certainly won't take you long to realise why it's classified as such when you see some of the magnificent sandy beaches and the beautiful coastal towns and villages.
The town of Alnwick is also just a 20-minute drive away and its fabulous castle and gardens are certainly a 'must see'!

All bookings made more than six weeks in advance of your stay will require a deposit payment of 25% of the rental cost, plus a small 5% booking fee, with balance being due six weeks prior to your stay. All bookings made within six weeks of your stay will require payment to be made in full at the time of booking.
