The Old Stables has been newly refurbished to a very high standard and offers a home away from home for couples, families and friends alike who are looking to enjoy the best of Northumberland.
Accomodation is on the first floor and consists of two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one with twin beds, an incredibly spacious open-plan lounge, diner and kitchen and a family bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Wi-fi is available in The Old Stables.
The lounge area has a flatscreen TV and DVD player and will comfortably seat four people. The modern kitchen contains all the appliances and equipment you would expect to cater for four people and includes a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, oven, kettle and toaster. Downstairs in the entrance area there is a large space which is ideal for secure storage of bicycles, pushchairs etc and there is also a washing machine and tumbler dryer.
The heating in The Old Stables is by means of central heating radiators, the cost of which, as well as the provision of linen and towels, is included in the price.
Externally, the private courtyard between The Old Stables and the owner's main house provides ample secure parking.
The owner of The Old Stables will consider requests for well behaved pets to stay at the property, on the strict understanding that they do not go in bedrooms or on the furniture and they are kept downstairs ideally, or in the living room. Please enquire at the time of booking. The owner of The Old Stables makes an additional charge of £3 per night to cover the cost of the extra cleaning required.
The owner of The Old Stables requires a damage deposit of £100 - this will be returned to you promptly on satisfactory inspection of the property after your departure.
The lovely village of Wylam is the perfect base for anyone who wants a taste of everything that this beautiful part of the world has to offer. Due to its central location in the village, guests are only a two minute stroll from the local shops, some great pubs and a cafe. Additionally, you will be within a five minute walk of the River Tyne, which has some stunning walks along its banks and also provides an excellent opportunity for fishing.
George Stephenson's cottage is located in the village and you'll not have to travel very far to find Hadrian's Wall or perhaps some golf and afternoon tea at Close House. There are cycling and walking trails out of the village, the train station is just a ten minute walk and there is a bus stop right by the apartment - so there's plenty of opportunities to discover the area!
Wylam is brilliantly placed for getting a little further afield and discovering more of what the area has to offer. So whether you have a car or not, The Old Stables is in the perfect location - perhaps for a trip to Alnwick Castle and Gardens or the stunning Northumberland coastline or some of the other beautiful towns and villages along the Tyne Valley and don't forget you'll only be a 15/20 minute journey from Newcastle city centre and the Metrocentre, should you fancy a spot of retail therapy!

All bookings made more the six weeks in advance of your stay will require a deposit payment of 25% of the rental cost, plus a small 5% booking fee, with balance being due six weeks prior to your stay. All bookings made within six weeks of the your stay will require payment to be made in full at the time of booking.
